These are highly informal gatherings of the members to visit a given museum or art gallery in the area. Non-costumed, and frequently taking advantage of special late night openings after work, these are a great way to socialise and get to know us. Previous trips have been to the Victoria and Albert Galleries, the Wallace Collection, National Gallery, National Portrait Gallery, British Museum, Museum of London, to mention our regular haunts.
They are usually organised via our email list and can be quite short notice, so do join the list and find out more!
Our next trip
Italian Renaissance Drawings at the British Museum
http://www.britishmuseum.org/whats_on/all_current_exhibitions/italian_renaissance_drawings.aspx
Meeting at 11.30 at the museum entrance
Please don’t be late as we have tickets for the 11.40 entrance to the exhibition (£12.00 for an adult). Pre-purchase tickets on-line or come a bit earlier to buy on the day (this is risky as they may have all sold out).
Previous Trips
a previous trip was to the Museum of London on Thursday February 4th, to see the revamped 16th-17th century War, Plague and Fire gallery.
This is also the Museum Valentine Late.
Meet at 6 30pm by the entrance to the shop. If you don’t know any of us by sight or name, drop the Castellan an email to let us know you are coming! A tour of the exhibition will follow, and then we usually repair to a local pub (non-drinkers are welcome too!). .
