A Word About Safety

Whilst of course all members are responsible for their own (and their children’s) safety, we would like to point out that although the site has a rural location it is still in Greater London. In particular we would encourage people not to walk alone from Chingford station to the site after dark. The road is unlit and in some places with no pavement and open to the forest and scrubland.

In February sunset is around 5.30pm and it will be dark earlier. A taxi from Chingford station to the site should take no more than 5 minutes and costs around £4, it should be possible to organise cab shares for people (depending on timings) so please contact the autocrats.
