October news – fight practice site unavailable

As of this week, the fight practice site is out of use, for 16 weeks of refurbishment.

This means the fighters and fencers need a new venue for the next 4 months for practice.

Basic requirements: a gym or equivalent, with hard floors available once a week, with changing space. Shower preferred but not absolute requirement. Good public (and road) transportation links strongly preferred.

If you have a suggestion, or better yet, have found a site that is suitable, please let Katherine the knight marshal know.

Genevieve has added the autumn revel dates; added a link to the A-to-Z app; edited the transport page to include Boris bikes and some other fixes; and added a new book to the London book list.

Genevieve has edited the books page to add Paddington bear (how did he get overlooked?), and to add and edit entries on the shopping page.

After talking with a newcomer today, I’ve rearranged some of the content on the site, so the most frequent activities are actually posted to the home page.
